How to file a warranty claim for your Nidecker productUpdated 3 months ago
Did you buy from nidecker.com or from a retailer?
The warranty claim path depends on where you purchased your product. This is the most important thing to determine first.
Purchased from eu.nidecker.com (our webstore)
Submit your claim directly through our online form
You will need your order number and proof of purchase. If you registered your product, have your registration details handy.
Purchased from an authorised Nidecker dealer (shop or third-party website)
You must contact the retailer first. The dealer will assess your claim and escalate to Nidecker on your behalf. We cannot process retailer-purchased warranty claims directly — this routing ensures the dealer is involved in the process as required by our warranty policy.
If the retailer is unresponsive or no longer operating, contact our customer service team and we will assist you.
Purchased from an unauthorised seller (e.g. eBay, Vinted, Craigslist)
Products purchased from unauthorised resellers are not covered by the Nidecker warranty. Warranty coverage applies to the original purchaser from an authorised channel only.
What does the Nidecker warranty cover?
Nidecker products are covered against manufacturing defects in materials and craftsmanship. Coverage periods:
- Snowboards: 2 years from date of purchase (extendable to 3 years with product registration)
- Bindings: 2 years from date of purchase
- Boots: 2 years from date of purchase
Examples of covered defects: delamination, structural cracks from manufacturing issues, hardware failures not caused by misuse, stitching failures in boots.
What is NOT covered by warranty?
The following damage types are explicitly excluded:
- Cosmetic damage — surface scratches, topsheet scuffs, minor stress marks that do not affect structural integrity
- Normal wear and tear — edge dulling, base oxidation, strap wear after heavy use
- Accidental damage — impacts, drops, crashes
- Misuse or improper storage — damage from incorrect mounting, using incompatible boots or bindings, or storing equipment improperly
- Modifications — any product that has been altered or repaired by a third party
- Board core shots — damage from rocks or terrain impacts
If you are unsure whether your damage qualifies, submit a claim with photos — our team will assess it and let you know.
What proof do I need to submit a warranty claim?
- Proof of purchase: order confirmation email, receipt, or invoice showing the purchase date and retailer
- Photos of the defect — clear, close-up images in good lighting
- Product details: model name, season year, size
- Serial number (if available — found on the base of the board or the binding baseplate)
If you no longer have proof of purchase, the manufacturing date stamped on the product may be used to determine eligibility. Contact us and we'll review your situation.
What happens after I submit a claim?
Once your claim is submitted:
- Our warranty team reviews your claim and photos — usually within a few business days.
- We may ask for additional photos or information.
- If approved, we will offer a repair, replacement product, or store credit depending on stock availability and the nature of the defect. We reserve the right to choose the most appropriate resolution.
- If the claim is not approved, we will explain why and advise on any paid repair or spare parts options available.
I bought my product at a retailer — can you confirm the warranty coverage dates?
Yes — if you have your proof of purchase, our team can confirm whether your product is within the warranty period. Contact customer service with your purchase date, product model and retailer name.
I live in a different country than where I bought the product. Can I still claim warranty?
Yes. If you are unable to return to the original retailer, contact our customer service team directly and we will find the best solution for your situation.
Can I get spare parts instead of a replacement under warranty?
Yes — in some cases, sending a spare part is the fastest resolution (for example, replacing a defective strap or buckle). Our team will assess your claim and discuss the best option with you. See also: How to order spare parts.
